SiLabs Blue Gecko BGM111-A Development Kit arrived

Hello everyone it is already a couple of weeks ago when I received my FoC (free of charge) development kit sample but now it’s time to unbox and start a few tests with it. In this post I will just show the content of it and run the preinstalled firmware and read the temperature value of the on board Si7021 Temperature/Humidity sensor. New Breakout Boards on the way

Hello everyone it has been a while since the last post but it take some time to develops something new and prove it’s functionality until it can be show to the public. After I received the free of charge BT121 development board from Bluegiga I started to work on some breakout boards. The idea behind those boards is to minimize the size of prototypes compared to the size of the original development kits provided by Bluegiga.

New Development Kit arrived: DKBT Bluetooth Smart Ready Development Kit

Hi Bluetooth developers today I received the brandnew DKBT Bluetooth Smart Ready Development Kit including the following parts: DKBT Development Kit main board BT121 Bluetooth Smart Ready carrier board Micro USB cable 1.5V AAA battery Printed Quickstart guide and EULA Of course the moment the kit was in my mailbox was exciting enough, but after I flipped over the first page of the quickstart guide, I saw illustrations of BLExplr, my BLE explorer app which is available in the Apple App Store, describing the use of the Bluetooth Smart demo with iOS.

Safecast uses BLEBee in bGeigeNano

Hello BLEBee users, after I’m in contact with the guys at Safecast for quite a long time now I want to share some photos on how they are using the BLEBee with their bGeigeNano to read data from the bGeigeNano directly to an iPhone (You can see the BLEBee in the video) The final design of the BLEBee v1.0.0 especially the size was inspired by feedback of Rob Oudendijk and Pieter Franken.

Work in Progress: MiKro 328 BLuE

Hello everyone well maybe it is time to tell you about the project that still keeps me busy. Of course I’m not a company behind all the developments so it takes a little more time 🙂 The initial idea was similar to what Punch Through Design finally delivered with their Bean.
