Bluetooth RFID Tag Reader goes open source

Hello everyone,

after there was some interest in the Bluetooth RFID Reader I created 2 years ago now (http://www.mkroll.mobi/?page_id=202), I decided to publish all files necessary to create one on github. On github (https://github.com/michaelkroll/BT-RFID-Reader) you can find the eagle design files, the Arduino sketch and the WT-12 configuration as well as STL files to create the enclosure.

Please feel free to use the files. Let me know once you created something or need help to set it up.

Cheers,

Michael.

    Hello Michael,

Do you have plans to build a BLE version of this RFID scanner?

    Cheers

      Hi Brendan,
I was thinking about it but I have currently no roadmap defined for such a device.
I need to finish the design of the BLE-Shield v.2.0.0 and finish two firmware projects before I will be able to spend time
on such a device. Maybe I will do this if more people are interested in it :-)

I could imagine a combination of an Arduino Leonardo Clone, a BLEBee (maybe with an XBee socket) and an NFC design similar to the Xadow NFC: http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/xadow-nfc-p-1627.html

      Cheers,
      Michael.
